Aamir Khan’s Daughter Ira Khan Reveals How Her Depression Manifests; Discloses She Doesn’t Do Drugs, Drinks Or Have Coffee – VIDEO
Actor Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan is battling with clinical depression for a while now and for that, she is pretty vocal about it and doesn’t refrain herself from sharing the vulnerable side of hers. Even if people tend to hide depression, Ira ensures it to broadcast it effectively on her Instagram account. Speaking of which, she once took to her account to share another IGTV talking about her depression but this time, she reveals how it manifests for her. She reveals that she doesn’t do drugs, doesn’t drink, or have loads of coffee. She doesn’t do anything that’s a life threat as that is not how her depression manifests.

In the video, Ira also opens up about her discussion with her therapist on mental health and how to deal with it when she feels that she is crashing down. Towards the end of the video, Ira also explains why she breaks down whenever a person is nice to her or understand her depression situation. She realised that she breaks down because it is the only time when a person validates her vulnerable side and accepts it while also understand that it is not crazy. Sharing her ordeal in a video message, she also penned a long note, talking about healing and dealing with it. “Me: So now what? Therapist: I don’t know,” she started her note.

Her note further read, “There are lots of parts to me. This is a conflict between the two of them that very seriously affects my attempts at healing from my overall depression. But the burnouts are getting longer so now I have to try harder. The plan is to reduce the frequency and intensity of my burnouts. I don’t need to change my entire being and functioning. Working a lot isn’t a bad thing, trying to do a lot isn’t a bad thing - not always. There’s a point after which it gets unhealthy. That’s what I need to find. That balance.  Because working also brings me joy.”
